I loved the magical location between two lakes surrounded by glowing hills. The weather was fantastic, making our arrival stunningly beautiful during golden hour. The room felt spacious and clean. Enjoyed the convenience of the restaurant with no need for reservations, which made dining informal and easy. The staff was super friendly, adding to the pleasant ambiance. Breakfast offered a great variety, including a delicious breakfast box. it would have been helpful to know all breakfast options upfront. Dinner portions were somewhat disappointing, especially the small steak pie compared to the pile of chips. Despite that, the meal was well made. a welcoming place with delightful food, but some improvements in portion sizes and clear communication about meals would enhance the experience.

Wow, the views were just breathtaking! Our King room had the best mountain view and super comfy vibes. Parking was a breeze too. The staff were so nice, always ready to help. One morning we tried the breakfast and it was so good! Only thing was the Wi-Fi was a bit wonky at times.

I had a marvelous time enjoying the stunning scenery and dining with an amazing view of the lake, and the nearby trails provided countless stunning walks to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Buttermere and surrounding mountains.

The views from the Deluxe Family Room were stunning, complemented by a fantastic breakfast selection that included home-baked Alentejo bread and unexpected picnic bags. The staff provided exceptional service, creating a welcoming atmosphere when returning after a day of exploring. mobile phone reception was poor, making it difficult to stay connected, and dinner options felt a bit limited due to an overabundance of chips.

We really enjoyed our stay here, especially the lovely views from our room and the big selection at breakfast that kept us full for our adventures.
